How to Quit Smoking with Dignity? – Bunbas

When I was 19 years old I made my plan to smoke cigarette tobacco in my life and never get lung cancer. My plan used a simple principle: “Smoking isn’t an Addiction it’s a Bad Habit.” So smoke for about 1 year each time then after smoking about 1 year quit smoking for 10 years. Then smoke again for about 1 year and stop smoking for 10 years. Repeat. Until I turn 80 years old and die of natural causes (old age). Meaning when I died at 80 I’ll have smoked 6 years and will have had about 55 adult years of not smoking tobacco or 72 total lifetime years of not smoking tobacco smoke. The whole point is to enjoy smoking and never get lung cancer. I will always enjoy my memories I’ve had from smoking with the knowledge and practice I’ve had of moderation. Let me tell you about how successful my plan has been. Like I mentioned earlier, I first started smoking at 19 years old. I smoked for 1 year and I successfully quit after about 1 year. I stuck to the plan. I quit smoking by using the Cold Turkey Method. The Cold Turkey Method in smoking is when you quit smoking with no nicotine packets or the intervention of a doctor. It takes a strong dude to quit smoking with a cold turkey approach. I didn’t start smoking again until 10 years like I planned it. After about 1 year of smoking the 2nd time I quit smoking again. I stuck to my plan. I used the cold turkey method again, but this time I had chest pain. Even though I tapered off slowly. Remember, don’t ever quit smoking sharply. Meaning if you’ve been smoking for a while or smoking for years try to taper off that stuff. Because it can shock the insides of your body.I kept telling myself, “Today, I’m going to smoke a little bit less,” over and over. Like that I got my mind in check. I would tell myself over and over, “Mind Over Matter.” Throughout the process I believed deeply in encouraging myself. I would tell myself “Rome wasn’t built in a day,”  “Michael, you got this,”  “You got this, shit,” “It was always you.”If I had to have another smoke session I would give it to myself. I believed in the bigger picture which was to quit smoking. The way to quit smoking with dignity is the cold turkey method mixed with tapering off slowly. Small steps, you’ll get there slowly but surely. I believe you can quit smoking. I believe in you. You Got This. You Got This, Dude.
